IEEE Student Branch of UVCE endeavors to enhance the learning experience of the students community on the UVCE campus. The Student Branch intends on providing different social, cultural and technical events for the students throughout the year. We encourage the students to take full advantage of the benefits of IEEE membership, including scholarships, competitions, and conference grants. The Student Branch also emphasizes the students to work with peers in other institutes, academicians, professionals, engineers, and scientists through the on campus IEEE Student Branch and the Local IEEE Section, thereby encouraging students to be a part of the global IEEE community.
IMPETUS is an Annual National Level Technical Fest conducted by IEEE UVCE. The fest is preceded by curtain raisers which include workshops, seminars and fun events. It is based on different innovative themes every year and sees a footfall of about 2000 students from all over the state. About 20 events are conducted among which Summit, Mock placements, Lazer Tag and Codestorm attract most crowd.
KAGADA is an Annual National Level Technical Student Conference held by IEEE UVCE with three streams, Poster presentation, Paper presentation and Project presentation. Poster presentation provides an opportunity to present innovative ideas through technical posters to depict how real-life problems can be solved. Paper presentation competition gives participants a chance to present technical research papers and lay an initial stone to engrave one's knowledge to serve society, including categories: UG/PG. Project presentation makes way for students to bring out the inventors in them and their creativity into pure reality through working model demonstrations. In addition to its primary purpose, KAGADA also incorporates humanitarian activities into its agenda. 'Ottige Kaliyona' - An initiative to teach basic technical skills to government school children, as a step to take part in a social cause. 'Food for Cause' - Is conducted by ECE students where food stalls serve delicious foods and the profits collected from the same will be donated to an NGO.
CodeFury is a National Level Hackathon which will draw participants from all over the Globe. The main task of the Hackathon is to create a Web or Android Application related to the given problem domain. The problem domain would be given on the spot
The IEEE UVCE Rewards Program is a comprehensive system created to recognize and reward active participation in IEEE UVCE events. Points are allocated based on the specific events attended, allowing members to accumulate points over time. A student from each branch receives exciting goodies for their active participation. This program not only helps participants track their involvement in IEEE activities but also provides a tangible way to acknowledge their ongoing commitment and engagement. As members continue to participate, their points grow, reflecting their active role within the IEEE community.
